Each year, Q300 PTA has a summer fundraiser where we ask family and friends to support our kids and the school. The money raised helps to pay for art and music specials, computers, and more for the Q300 students. Last year, we raised more than $9,000!
We have some new features this year:
- We have a Q300 Read-a-Thon Flipgrid! Make a video recommending your favorite books to our Q300 community! Just go to https://flipgrid.com/q300readathon and log in with your Q300 email account (the same one used for remote learning) and choose Lower Division, Upper Division, or Adults from the drop-down menu at the top of the page. Record your video! We encourage everyone to participate in the Flipgrid, whether you choose to raise money for Read-a-Thon or not.
- Create a page on our Read-a-Thon site https://charity.gofundme.com/o/en/campaign/2020-q300-summer-read-a-thon and send the link to your family and friends to donate! This year, we are fundraising as a school, rather than as a contest, as in previous years.
- Due to Covid-19, we are not accepting cash or checks this year. We still encourage students to keep lists of the books they have read, but we ask that family and friends who wish to support Q300 students do so through our Crowdrise page and donate electronically.
- Also, if you’re looking to buy any new books for your kids, we have an ongoing partnership with Childrensbooktore.com: https://www.childrensbookstore.com/welcome/q300-book-fair/ 15% of all sales will go back to the PTA.
