Beginning Mon. May 2, we will shift operating hours to 1:30pm-3:30pm.
We’re thrilled to announce that the PS17 Wellness Council has partnered with Queens Botanical Gardens (QBG) in bringing a community Food Scrap Drop Off (FSDO) (https://queensbotanical.org/farmandcompost/) site to the school and larger community. The site will operate throughout the school calendar year from 2:45-4:45pm on Mondays, starting on Monday, April 11, 2022. The food scraps will be hauled off to a local Queens composting site, and recycled.
Queens Botanical Gardens (QBG) will be recruiting collection volunteers. If you are interested, please visit the link below to watch the orientation video presented by the QBG.
