In recognition of Earth Week 2022, Q300’s Green Team has organized a Tree Seedling Planting Day in collaboration with Randall’s Island Park Alliance on Saturday, May 14, 2022 @ 10am for our Q300 community. We invite Q300 families, teachers and staff to sign up with the form at https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScBLRDGrWiHiiX-7I_dkWtD3VinAPu3F66sweCYZB1kAe0vew/viewform.
The Park Alliance will give a short talk about the importance of trees in our urban environment. Trees seedlings, pots, soil, gloves and tools will be provided for each student, teacher or staff member. The selection of trees include: Black Walnut, Silver Maple, Paper Birch, Hawthorn, Red Oak, Silky Dogwood, Virginia Rose and Elderberry.
There is a limit of 25 students/teacher/staff members for this event. Please only sign up if you can definitely attend. The first 25 registrants will be notified and confirmed by May 1, 2022. Additional registrants will be put on a waitlist and notified if a slot opens up.
Additionally, please bring a picnic blanket and lunch for a casual Chat & Chill: Picnic Edition after the tree planting. Folks can mingle and get to know one another.
*Please note: Attendees are responsible for transportation to and from Randall’s Island Park. See car-pooling question at the end of this form.
