School supplies group order for 2024-2025 (order by 7/1/2024)

For the past few years, Q300 was able to purchase students’ school supplies with their school funds. Unfortunately, for the 2024-2025 school year, this is not possible. As a result, Q300 PTA has partnered with 1st Day School Supplies to offer you a discounted package containing all the school supplies requested by your teacher for the first day of school in Fall 2024.

Q300 requests that all Q300 families provide school supplies from a grade-specific list. In the previous years, families found it time-consuming and challenging to individually search for items on that list and deliver them to the school. In order to streamline the process (and raise some fund for Q300 PTA at the same time), we have worked with 1st Day School Supplies to develop a one-stop website where parents can purchase all the items on the list with a few clicks and have them delivered directly to the school.

To participate in the program, please do the following:

  1. Order the school supplies at the following website: https://1stdayschoolsupplies.com/kits.php?sid=73565
  2. Click on the grade tab for your child entering grade for 2024-2025. For example, if your child is currently in 1st grade, you will choose the second grade kit when making your purchase.
  3. Click on “Confirm and Continue” on the new tab.
  4. Complete the order form.
  5. Orders must be made by Monday, July 1, 2024.

In August, students will receive a custom-packed and labeled cardboard kit containing all the school supplies requested by your teacher. The communal supplies will be delivered directly to Q300 (so, you don’t need to bring them with your child on the first day of school).

While participation in this program is optional, we have found it to be a wonderful way to save time, effort, and money and have one less thing to worry about in those first few days of school next September! Each kit includes a $5 donation to the Q300 PTA, where the funds will be used to provide for students’ enrichment programs, TAs for the lower divisions, and other PTA-funded programs.

For families in need of financial aid, please request financial aid from your homeroom teacher, social worker Rachel Weiss, guidance counselor Khary Chang, or Parent Coordinator Jenny Lando. See https://q300pta.org/2020/05/01/q300-pta-hardship-fund/ for more information about the hardship fund.
