In lieu of the International Winter Potluck, where we usually get to celebrate all of our diverse heritages by enjoying traditional cultural dishes and folkloric craft-making activities, the Q300 PTA is planning a series of family-friendly virtual sessions to bring the celebration into your home. These will be ongoing throughout the year.
We invite you to share your talents and your culture with the community. You could lead a cooking demonstration of a traditional dish, host a craft making workshop, guide a folkloric dance lesson, lead a fun cultural game, play a traditional instrument, or any other unique way in which you’d like to showcase your culture with our families.
This February we are hoping to get volunteers to host Lunar New Year and Black History Month related virtual sessions. These would be open to the whole Q300 community, and would be a fun way to engage students while learning about the many cultures that make up our wonderfully diverse community.
