Winter Fest is a K–8 community event where families bring dishes from all over the world! We also hope to have cultural craft tables organized by each grade, activities, raffles and auction off some great prizes, all while enjoying a diverse array of great food. This event is a Q300 tradition and was actually the first ever Q300 school-wide event back in November 2014. We encourage you to reach out to your Class Parents to find out how you can help with your grade’s activity table at the event.

In addition, we are excited to announce the K-8 Multicultural Show, where students will showcase their amazing talents. This show aims to highlight the diverse talents and cultural backgrounds of our students, promoting inclusion and appreciation for different cultures.

  • Registration: Admission and food at the event will be FREE to Q300 students, their families, teachers and staff, but pre-registration will be required, as capacity is limited. RSVP for your family via this Sign Up Form by Friday, January 19th.
  • Food:: A flyer will be sent home with students next week. On the back side of the flyer is a form to list all the ingredients used in your dish. We ask that folks bring this form with their dish to consider and protect those with allergies and dietary restrictions. All food must be covered when brought and will remain covered when not being served. Bringing a dish to share is entirely optional, and not required to attend the event.
  • Volunteer: We need some help setting up, cleaning up, and serving food. Please note whether you are able to help out at the event on the Sign Up form above.
  • Prizes: There will be a number of great items raffled and auctioned at the event. This is the perfect opportunity to donate any new unopened toys, games, books, tinker kits or other gifts your kid(s) might have received over the holidays. Don’t hesitate to send any other non-kid items, as they may be a hit with the adults. We do plan to bundle items when appropriate, so feel free to send in anything you think could be of use. They will all be put to great use! Please send in any potential prizes to school with your child before Thursday, January 25th and label “Winter Fest.” Feel free to let us know what you’re sending in via this link (optional – we are also happy to be surprised by what is sent in. We know sometimes you just want to get the stuff out of your home fast).
  • Summer Camp Auction: The highly anticipated Summer Camp Auction will launch virtually prior to the event, but you will have an opportunity to place bids in person as well at the event. Please help us get great prizes by filling out this link. Feel free to use the Formal Letter for Donors when soliciting donations. Please contact the Summer Camp Auction Committee if you have any auction-related questions at auction@q300pta.org.
  • Activity tables: There have been many great cultural craft and activity tables at this event over the years (origami, chopsticks and marbles games, soap making, dragon dancing, cultural scavenger hunts, and more). If you have an idea for an activity table or want to help organize your grade, please contact your Class Parents.

We are looking forward to another wonderful celebration! Mark your calendars, and please help us get some prizes! If you have general questions about the event, or to join the planning committee please email winterfestival@q300pta.org.
