The 30th Avenue School (Q300) is seeking teacher assistants (TAs) to support classes from kindergarten to second grade for the 2026-2027 school year. Q300 is a citywide gifted and talented public school with diverse learners from kindergarten to 8th grade. Our school, located in the heart of Astoria, Queens, has an active and engaged community dedicated to the core values of Inclusion, Inquiry and Responsibility. - Position: Teaching Assistant for Kindergarten-2nd Grade at The 30th Avenue School (Q300), a citywide gifted and talented public school in Astoria, Queens.
- Job Type and Pay: Full-time, temporary position for the 2026-2027 school year; $20.00 per hour.
- Schedule: Monday-Friday when students are in school. Includes 2 paid sick days and paid federal holidays during the school year.
- Location: Q300 Lower Division, 28-37 29th Street, 4th Floor, Astoria, NY 11102.
- Qualifications: Experience working with children ages 5-8; knowledge of social-emotional learning and positive classroom support; at least 2 years of college or an Associate Degree. Working toward an Education degree is preferred but not required.
