Join us in providing outstanding school-wide enrichment by becoming a Q300 Donor. Starting on March 1, 2016, we have 31 Days to reach our goal of 100% participation by every K, 1st, 2nd, 6th & 7th grade family — but we need your help.
Funds given now to the PTA will support Principal Willard’s goal to implement more enrichment, computers, teaching assistants, books, trips, classroom materials, and fund academic priorities into Fall 2016.

Please save the date for a fun and fitness-filled evening at the PS 17 campus on Friday, March 18, 2016 from 5:30-7:00pm. We will be co-sponsoring a Zumba-thon with the PS 17 PTA in the PS 17 campus gymnasium to raise money for a few necessary items (new microphone and benches) for the shared auditorium between the Q300 elementary campus and PS 17.

NYC Junior Ambassadors is a new program focused on empowering 7th graders in all five boroughs of New York City to become actively engaged with the United Nations and its mission of addressing the most pressing challenges in the world. By targeting New York City youth at a critical time in their personal and intellectual growth, NYC Junior Ambassadors seeks to help them understand the real connections between themselves, the City of New York, and international affairs
Q300 class 701 is part of the inaugural cohort of NYC Junior Ambassadors!

The First Box Tops for Education submission deadline of 2016 is just around the corner. All submissions must be submitted by February 11th to be counted on this submission period. For more details on the Q300 Boxtops for Education program as well as instructions on how to sign up – click here.
Please cut Box Tops from participating brands, attach to the Box Tops collection sheet, and send to the school in your child’s communication folder by February 11th OR bring them with you to the upcoming PTA meeting on January 29th. If you aren’t able to attach the tops to a collection sheet it’s not a problem! Please send/bring what you have in baggie.
Starting February 12th the Box Tops Coordinators will count, organize, and submit all of the Box Tops in order to make the next submission deadline. The organization distributes funds biannually so please continue to clip all year long. We will continue to collect Box Tops monthly and submit them according to the Box Tops for Education schedule.

This year our student body has doubled in size! A big welcome to all the new Q300 families. We look forward to an even more successful Direct Appeal fundraising campaign as a result of our exciting growth. One of our biggest goals is to have certified teaching assistants in the Kindergarten and 1st grade classrooms for the full school year. We’re currently at 20% of our fundraising goals for the 2015-2016 year.
In order to thrive, it’s important for all Q300 families to contribute to the Direct Appeal. Full participation is important. Regardless of the size of your contribution it helps Q300 when every family contributes to this specific fundraising effort. Use our online donation page here and choose your giving level. Please share this message and the link to the donation page with your families and loved ones.
Funds raised in the Direct Appeal are the main source that pays for certified teaching assistants, engaging enrichment programs, special events, equipment and other critical items that will enrich your child’s learning experience at Q300. If there’s not enough money to pay for these specific programs, they will not happen…
